Tryouts for the 2025-2026 Team will take place on Friday, April 4th. Please make sure to register and submit all paperwork to Coach Likes by Tuesday, April 1st.

Paperwork
A current physical must be turned in to Coach Likes prior to clinics on Tuesday, April 1st. Ursuline students will upload their physical to RankOne. All other candidates will email a copy of their physical to Coach Likes at cpshawkscheer@gmail.com. Candidates may not attend clinics/tryouts until a physical is turned in.
A signed copy of the Cistercian Varsity Cheer Code of Conduct must be emailed or printed and given to Coach Likes prior to or at clinics on Tuesday, April 1st.

Tryout material will include a cheer, a dance, and a chant in a 3-3-3 style. Candidates are expected to know all material prior to clinics on Tuesday, April 1st. Tryouts will also include performing 3 cheer jumps (including a toe touch) as well as any standing and/or running tumbling a candidate has.

Review tryout material and receive feedback from graduating seniors and coaches.
Attire: athletic shorts or skort, athletic t-shirt or tank top, cheer shoes or tennis shoes, hair pulled back, NO Cistercian Cheer branded clothes
Mock Tryouts
Thursday, April 3rd ~ 4:30 p.m.-completion ~ Cistercian East & West Gyms
Run through tryouts for graduating seniors and coaches for feedback. Mock tryouts typically take about 2 hours, but candidates will be released after their mock tryout is complete.
Attire: athletic shorts or skort, athletic t-shirt or tank top, cheer shoes or tennis shoes, hair pulled back, NO Cistercian Cheer branded clothes

Friday, April 4th ~ 4:30 p.m.-completion ~ Cistercian East & West Gyms
Candidates will be scored by 3 NCA judges. Tryouts typically take about 2 hours, but candidates will be released after their tryout is complete.
Attire: black athletic shorts or skort, white athletic t-shirt or tank top, cheer shoes or tennis shoes, white ankle socks, hair in high ponytail (pin back bangs/face framing), white/black bow optional
The 2025-2026 Team will be posted on our website by 10:00 p.m. following tryouts. The number of members on the team is determined by the natural score break from judges’ scores.
